Lynch Hotels

Lynch Hotels are about to launch phase two of their loyalty program.
Provided by Customer Connect Loyalty , the Lynch group have been able to design their loyalty program into 4 different loyalty schemes with specific focus on their main markets.
The great thing about this is that Lynch can really drill down on the specific needs of each market and reward and incentivise accordingly.
Over 400,000 households in Ireland are now using a loyalty card, having a loyalty program increases the chance of a repeat visit by over 73%.

Loyalty Statistics 4 tips

If your running a loyalty program well then it is crucial to monitor your statistics.

  1. Make sure your loyalty provider is giving you simple recommendations in line with your stats too. As business owners you are too busy to have to peelthrough masses of reports to find the one or two crucial pieces of info that will give you direction.
  2. for example one of Customer Connect Loyalty http://www.customerconnectloyalty.com/ customers had his weekly customer retention rates increasing by 1 % per month, however this was not in the reporting area of the software, we, as his loyalty provider calculated it from the various different reports.
  3. By the way that 1% in customer retention is worth 14% increse in turnover over a year, so if we hadnt spotted it then the store owner wouldnt have been able to focus on this area of growth to ensure the trend continued.
  4. Look, if you're buying technology make sure they do all of the work not just give you more to do!!

Pharmacy Clients uses Loyalty to give better value to their customers

You can see (I hope:)) the offers that our pharmacy client in dublin is able to make at no cost to his busienss just by using a well designed loyalty scheme.

7 Simple Ways loyalty can be used to grow your business

1.     Incentivise your customers to come in 4 times per months
·         This a simple promotion and can be implemented straight away, the loyalty system monitors your customers behaviour and your customers get rewarded for their loyalty and extra spend

2.     Bonus Points on certain Days
·         This is ideal for picking up that midweek lull. Incentivise your shoppers by offering double points on your quietest day. Another benefit is that this spreads your business more evenly from a staffing point of view

3.     Fallen Customers Offers
·         Find out who those irregular customers are or even those customers who have stopped using your shop and make them an offer they cant refuse!

4.     Rewards Schedule
·         A rewards schedule is a list of items that your customers can save their points for. This should be on a large poster on the wall to keep your customer reminded.

5.     Double points
·         Smaller items midweek eg mince are idealfor offering double points and this encourages your shopper to come in to you rather than a convenience store e.g. Centra. This also helps to remove the emphasis away from Price!

6.     Bundled Offers Plus Points
·         This is a great way to increase average spend. By offering bonus points on bundled offers that are set just above the current loyalty member average spend we can encourage customers to rise that extra few percent!

7.     Threshold Selling
·         Threshold Selling is term coined by Finbarr Malone of Customer Connect Loyalty and it refers to a scheme whereby once a customer reaches a certain spend level in your store on a trasaction eg €50 then their points are doubled on that transaction. Combined with the rewards schedule mentioned earlier this is a powerful tool.

Competing with Supermarkets...

Competing with supermarkets is difficult for independent retailers. However an important point that business owners miss is that a loyalty program allows you to offer far better pricing to your members at little or no cost at all.
The offers below are compiled for a client of ours and Illpost again on the success of these. Suffice to say that his loyalty membership increased by 20% the week these offers were made...!!!
